Creatinol-O-Phosphate (N-methyl-N-(beta-hydroxyethyl) guanidine O-phosphate) is a synthetic analogue of creatine although, it is often considered a completely different supplement than regular creatine. In fact, it is much more relatable to creatinol rather than creatine. It was developed as a cardio-protective drug to combat arrhythmia and to protect cardiac tissue.

Various studies have shown that COP improves the contractile efficiency of the heart, improves rhythmic disturbances and reduces chest pain. While quite appealing for its benefits on cardiovascular health, since this article exists, there must be a use for it in the world of bodybuilding and fitness. Right? Right.

As it turns out, COP is a great supplement to improve aerobic as well as anaerobic performance, similar to creatine, but with a much higher absorption rate. It increases the ATP levels within the muscle, again, like creatine, but through a different pathway. This results in better contractility for the muscles and a longer buffering of lactic acid (this is what makes your muscles burn during a set), allowing more time under tension for the muscle, resulting in a better workout, which eventually leads to more muscle gains.

A lot of users have reported increased benefits when COP is stacked with beta-alanine as it seems to have a synergistic effect. It would make sense as both allow the body to push further and harder during a workout.

Dosage/Side effects

Creatinol-O-Phosphate has been found to be safe at daily doses of 3 grams. However, most users experience its benefits with just 1.5-2 grams daily.

There are no known side-effects of COP and is generally found to be well tolerated by most people. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions and/or are taking prescription medicine, please consult your doctor before using COP.

Also, do not try to self-medicate yourself by using COP, it is always wise to consult with a trusted physician.
