An amino acid used by the body to build proteins. It is a non-essential amino acid, meaning the body produces it on its own. Most animal protein natural sources contain Alanine.

The concentration of these fluids is held constant by the body, so water consumed with glucose is not excreted until the extra glycose is either removed by the kidneys or broken down by the body. Dextrose (AKA glucose) is a high GI (glycemic index), fast absorbing type of simple carbohydrate. Dextrose is used by athletes to induce an insulin spike and replace glycogen in muscle cells which is lost during training.

It is well documented that consuming dextrose and other simple sugars before and during exercise is able to spare muscle glycogen, therefore essentially increasing the amount of energy available and time to exhaustion. These carbohydrates are able to maintain blood glucose levels, resulting in significant improvements in endurance exercise performance.

What dosage should I take?

As a dietary supplement, take 1-3 scoops with 24 oz. 5-10 minutes prior to training. Continue to sip throughout your entire workout. Take 1-3 scoops (second dose) 5-10 minutes after training.
