A Net Nitrogen Utilization study has determined the percentage of Anabolized Amino Acids (UAA), also known as Net Nitrogen Utilization (NNU) and of Catabolized Amino Acids (UCA) in HumaPro® provides a 99:1 NNU:UCA ratio so caloric value, based upon a clinical study, is believed to be 0.004 calories per gram, thus 0.02 calories per 5 gm serving.
The prescribing conversion ratio for HumaPro® to averaged whole food proteins (WFP…like meat, fish, poultry, whey and soy proteins etc.) is:
1g HumaPro® = 5g WFP
A 5g HumaPro® serving (1 scoop/5 tabs) therefore = Whole Protein Equivalent of 25g averaged, at less than 1 calorie (0.02 to be exact)!
Why? Because HumaPro is nearly fully utilized as protein should be (as the source for a positive nitrogen balance resulting in greater protein synthesis rather than as raw materials the body makes into glucose). The Limiting Amino Acid Concept (Read this part twice)
The effective EAA content of any particular food is determined based on its lowest in proportion of the 8 individual essential amino acids. In other words, the amino acid with relative proportion most bellow that in the ideal amino acid pattern profile, will reduce the use of all the others essential amino acids from that food protein by that ratio. An example would be Isoluecine. This EAA has a minimum daily requirement of 20mg per kilo gram of body weight. If you only ingested 10mg per kilo gram of bodyweight daily, only half of the other EAAs ratios above could be utilized for protein synthesis. Nominal content of other essential amino acids exceeding the level determined by the lowest one, are effectively wasted thus become caloric or excreted waste. The amino acid that is lowest with respect to perfect EAA proportions is called the limiting amino acid, and the ratio of its relative proportion vs. relative proportion of that same EAA in the ideal (reference) protein is so called amino acid score (AAS). This does not solely apply to EAAs.
Q: Is HumaPro the same as the MAP product?
A: Though both formulas have the same goal of a super concentrated complete protein matrix with a 99% utilization rate for protein synthesis, MAP has a different amino acid profile, random particle size and does not include nutrients and co-factors that further decrease protein waste from increasing your waist size. HumaPro is also patent pending which would not be possible if the formulas were the same.
Q: Is HumaPro just Brach Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs)?
A: Though the BCAAs are Essential Amino Acids (EAAs) they are not a complete protein matrix…the other 5 EAAs are missing from BCAA formulas. So, no. Q: How many calories does 1 serving of HumaPro provide?
A: Protein itself does not actually have calories though its metabolic waste does. When there is an excess of protein/amino acids being metabolized, those amino acids in abundance above “The Limiting Amino Acid” are converted to blood sugar (glucose) through a metabolic process called Gluconeogenesis. In reference to whey protein, meats, vegetable proteins etc. the average amount of amino acids converted to blood sugar is between 47-60%. To a far lesser degree some excess amino acids are converted to fatty acids. When the body skips the digestive process and directly absorbs the specific ratio complete protein EAA matrix in HumaPro® there is an average of only 1% the body can use as waste to make blood sugar. So the answer is that a single gram of HumaPro has been shown in studies to provide only 0.004 calories and a full serving has only an average of 0.02 calories. Most proteins provide 4.0 calories per gram due to protein waste converting to sugar in your body. This adds up to 100 calories for 25 grams of whole food protein, mostly due to amino acid conversion to blood sugar. The waste by-products from excess out of range amino acids converting to sugars is ammonia, uric acid and urea. Did you want all of that sugar waste to pack around your waist?
Q: Is HumaPro better than all other protein?
A: That depends upon your goals. If you are simply looking for extra calories to feed muscle, fat etc., or just want to enjoy a BBQ steak then the question is moot. Q: If there are 20-22 amino acids the human body depends upon to recover, grow and stay healthy, why does HumaPro® only use the 8 EAAs and 3 semi-essential amino acids?

Q: I’m an athlete and need a high protein intake but want to reduce the amount of blood sugar that comes from whole food proteins like beef, whey, and foul. I eat about 200-250 grams of protein daily.
A: Remember that 47-60% of your dietary protein becomes waste in the form of blood sugar due to the amino acid ratio not being specific for optimal tissue regeneration. Depending upon your whole food protein sources your body is converting 94-150 grams of the protein to blood sugar (glucose). That leaves you with 60-100 grams of protein. The protein amino acid ratio is then corrected, the waste discarded and the remainder is used for protein synthesis (tissue repair and building). You would require only 38-50 grams of HumaPro in divided meals to fully replace your 200-250 grams of whole food proteins, depending upon which foods you ingested to make up the 200-250 grams. This would be optimal and certainly make keeping a tight waist way easier. But we suggest you eat 100 grams of whole food protein and 25-30 grams of HumaPro® tablets or drinks daily. Be sure to take your HumaPro, 5-10 grams per serving, 20-25 minutes prior to meals to avoid mixing incorrect amino acid ratios with HumaPro for best results and DO NOT mix with whey or other whole food powdered proteins. Q: What is protein/amino acid waste?
A: When protein is digested it is broken down into amino acids. The amino acids that are converted to blood sugar leave behind waste in the form of ammonia, uric acid and urea. Naturally ammonia build-up would be deadly and does occur. Uric acid and ammonia both are highly toxic to kidneys. Urea is the major metabolic fate of these waste compounds and it excreted from the body in urine. Normal urea excretion in a 24 hour period is 6-17 grams. Many high protein diets can push urea waste into the 40 gram range but has not been shown to have an adverse effect upon the kidneys during the common periods high protein diets are maintained. HumaPro is 100% predigested providing the corrected EAA and Semi-Essential ratios for only 1% waste as compared to most proteins being 68-84% waste.
Whats the recommended dosage for HumaPro?
