We have seen it time and time again. Every time that we find something that truly works to help you pack on the muscle, the government steps in and puts a ban on it. We used to have some incredible pro-hormones such as Superdrol, Epistane, Helladrol, etc, and just as soon as they came, they were put to rest.
Then came SARMs, and while some of them are still around (and technically still legal), many companies have stopped their production because they know that at any time, the government’s gonna come knocking.

1-Andro (1-androstene-3b-ol, 17-one)
1-Andro, also known as 1-DHEA, being a DHEA product, has survived the ban. 1-Andro converts into 1-testosterone within the body, via a two-step conversion, and hence, is popularly used as a testosterone base along with other pro-hormones. 1-Andro is relatively safe, has no liver toxicity and produces dry and solid gains. As always, you should follow any hormonal cycle with a proper post-cycle therapy (PCT) program.
4-Andro (4-androstene-3b-ol, 17-one)
4-Andro, also known as 4-DHEA, is another DHEA derived compound. However, unlike 1-Andro, the gains that you get from 4-Andro are much more significant and rapid, due to its ability to increase water retention. 4-Andro is also known to increase red blood cell count, therefore, greatly improving muscle pumps. Since 4-Andro, is a “wet-bulker”, it does have the potential to aromatize into oestrogen, therefore, it is important to use an anti-estrogen, such as Forma Stanzol.
Epi-Andro (3b-hydroxy-androstane-3b-ol)
Epi-Andro, also another DHEA derivative, has the ability to convert into DHT within the body, which is much more androgenic than testosterone. Its effects are compared to the legendary pro-hormone, epistane, because it has the ability to improve lean, dry muscle mass, improves muscle hardness, increases strength as well as aggression. Epi-Andro does not aromatize, however, always follow it up with a proper PCT.
19-NorAndro (19-norAndrost-4-ene-3b-ol, 17-one)
Another DHEA derivate (seeing a pattern here?). However, 19-NorAndro seems to be the most promising of the bunch, this is because it has the ability to convert into Nandrolone within the body. Nandrolone is an incredible steroid with the ability to drastically improve muscle mass and strength and is also incredibly helpful in fighting joint pain because it has the ability to lubricate joints, just like the steroid. It can aromatize so always use an anti-estrogen.
These are just some of the pro-hormones that have survived and proven to work (although not as well as their predecessors). Every day, more and more companies are coming out with new ways to beat the system and as long as there is the demand for chemical enhancement, there will always be some new developments on the pro-hormone front.
